it depends on your gender, body type, etc. most women , not all, are good on 1300 calories a day.................

Doctors recommend at least 1500 calories a day to get all the neccisary vitamins. I have gone with far less before I read this so I changed my eating habits. The real issue is that when you eat less you have to eat foods that have mre substance to stay full and still get enough calcium, protein, etc.

If you don't get the required calories then i guess it is considered as you starving yourself.
