Like get my Last name on my hand. Well the first letter of my last name "S" but in fancy lettering. Do you think that would be better than the tattoo on my back sence the "S" is only gonna be small?

Why would you get your name tattooed on you anyway? Its just a name, it doesn't make you who you are. Unless I had short term memory loss and needed to remember it, I would never get that done.

I don't think a tattoo on your hand is a great idea. But go ahead and try it out in henna for a while to start. See if you like it and see other people's reactions to it. You can have it done by someone the first time and then keep retracing it weekly to keep it dark. It's the kind of thing that is not going to look so great when you're 40. Won't be an easy place to remove a tattoo without severe scarring also.

I agree with Houston Taylor that tattooing your hand may work against you in the job field. I knew a guy that had "F*** Y**" tattooed on his knuckles. We worked in a supply house and I asked him about it. He said he did it on a dare when he was younger. I asked if he was sorry and he said "every day of my life! If I had known I would be working with the public I never would have done it." I have to admit I don't like looking at stuff like that on a person, so think about it long and hard.

Please wait till your 18, your 14? you have 4 years to go, and in those 4 years, you'll be thinking WTF did I get this for? Not to say tattoos are bad, but you don't know what you want...I know how addicting it is when everyone around you is getting a tattoo, just wait, and get your noise pierced instead...At least it's not permanent...While their tattoo look Shitty, yours is brand new!

i would get the tattoo on my hand personally because i think more people would see it, and i think it would look better.

i think ur hand, my dad has a snake on his palm it looks awesome...
and when my auntie got a tattoo on her back she passed out hehe!!
at the end of the day its what u want if u want it on ur hand then go 4 it but if u want it on ur back so u can show it off wen ur on ur hols then maybe ur back or ur stomach. good luck

i wouldn't do hand tattoos. they can be hell if you're not settled into a job yet. alot of employers might turn you away. but if you're already set with a job, go for it i guess.
