dogs are pack animals. Meaning, they live in packs. When we buy or adopt a dog we become the pack. Unfortunately for the dog, we tend to leave for most of the day whether it be school or work. This leaves the dog to it's own devices all day. I have 2 dogs and they are best friends. They sleep together, play together, eat together and even run away together. When we find them romping in the neighborhood they are always together. 2is better than one. Just make sure they know you're the pack leader.

It mostly depends on if YOU are ready to rehome another dog!! If you are than it's a great idea considering dogs love friends. I believe by getting another dog you would be making the right choice. Although if you decide not to get another dog and that you are not ready for Molly to have a friend that's perfectly okay!! To make Molly feel better and less lonely try playing With her more. All dogs need love, time, and care but lonely dogs probably need the most love!! It all depends an the dog. For example I have a golden doodle and she is perfectly happy alone without other dogs!

I recently moved out of a home where my Maltese X had the company of another large dog all day. She became listless and destructive when she was left alone all day, so I rescued a 4yr old Male Maltese and she is now the happiest she has ever been. She has a new friend to keep her company and she can snuggle up with him if she is cold. She is even letting him be the more dominant of the two. Having a second dog has been a huge bonus for her and providing your other dog is sociable then I think you will never regret it.

its always a good idea to have company for your dog. the only problem is the sex to choose, 2 females may start getting jealous of each other, on the other hand if you get a male you're going have to cope with pups. King Charles' are too exotic to sterilise so get Molly a boyfriend and start breeding. She definitely needs company, so go for it.

Yes, it is. We've had two or three dogs most of the time...they're companions for each other. Sometimes you get a bit of sibling rivalry but it settles down. They always play at the park together...it's great. Also you'd be rescuing another dog and giving it a good home too!

I think its definitely better to have two dogs. I tried just having one dog for a while but he was lonely. (and he slept all the time) I decided that he needed a friend. It worked out. He's got someone to play with and getting more exercise.

Dogs are pack animals, so I find it's nice if you have two or more.

But this depends alot on the indivdual dog and owner too. If you already have a dog picked out, take Molly to visit him/her. Let her tell you if she really wants or needs a canine companion. Take her to visit a couple of choices. And you have to ask yourself: do you have the time and energy to devote the proper love and care of two dogs?

When she is home alone all day, she wants nothing more than to spend time with you in the evening. You can't give her your whole evening/weekends, so she really needs another friend. Dogs are social like people, the more friends, the better.

Double your pleasure, double your fun
No doubt in this world, 2 dogs are better than 1 !!

I have been advised by a vet before that dogs are social creatures, and so it is always better to have 2 rather than 1 where possible.
