Animals are always happy to see us and rarely give us any grief. By spending time with the pooch he is avoiding a problem he has with you and hoping you will solve it without it becoming confrontational.
This is not a real easy answer so you have to search your soul and decide if there is a problem with him that is not resolved. I was always of the opinion that we really know the answer to our problems before we even ask the question. I bet you know what it is too and maybe don't want to ask your husband about it as it may be uncomfortable to talk about. Best of luck with it, don't blame the pooch.

My husband says that a lot about me!!
But what it is ,is that I do most of the walking the dog and usually for very long ones as hes very active!! What you need to do , is do things all together, sounds like he does most of the walking on his own with the dog!! which makes you feel like he is always with the dog.Just make time for your husband and the dog and you to go out together share the dog and u wont feel so left out!
Im sure he loves lots but the dog is apart of his family too!!

lol my mother used to say the same thing about my dad "he loves those bloody animals more than he loves me", some people just get on better with their pets, it oesn't mean he cares less for you, it's just the type of person he is, if you want to spend time with your hubby try and get involved with what he does with the dog, go for walks with each other in the country, play ball with the dog, just enjoy life.
Don't worry because at the end of the day he married you, no one else and definatly not the dog lol

The thing about a dog is this:
They dont nag, ask where you've been, demand you dress a certain way, diss your friends, ask you to do DIY, drag you round the shops or ask you for money.
They just love you for being you. Can you say the same?

He must really like your dog why dont you join in the fun taking your dog for walks with your husband. Treat him tell him one day you want to spend with hime. Tell him how you feel. Im sure he'll come aorund if he knows hes making you feel uncomfortable. Dont worry its not bad! unless this dog referrs to a women.
Good Luck!!

I know I have no room to talk because I'm not married, but what if you spend more time with him AND the dog? Maybe once he remembers how much fun talking to a real person who can talk back is, he might make himself more available.

less complicated relationship with the dog, and the dog wont have the same expectations as you do, it doesnt necessarily mean anything about your relationship more likely about your husband and how he feels about animals and people. As already said a dogs love is unconditional.

One of the main attractions of having a dog is the unconditional love they provide. Are you critical of you husband? Perhaps he is just seeking a friend and confidant that wont judge him. Maybe, you should consider yourself lucky after-all, its not another woman.
