Although Religious freedom is one of America's claims to fame; openness & respecting another's opinion is thin. The old addage "Don't speak of politics of religion in mixed company" is good advice in any American gathering.

However religion & politics is nearly all that is talked about in Yemen. Sure, your host or guests may try to convert you, they will debate the details of your arguement, they will tell you they think you are wrong. But they will still be open & respectful of an Atheist's opinionl

Considering Yemen gives the death sentence for slandering Islam then, leaving Islam and other religious offences while most of this country's elite are atheists or Christians I'd have to vote on the good ol US of A. Kind of an obvious question though.

I can tell you its not easy here in America, but I imagine would be worse in Yemen.

I'm not sure, having never been to either country. I'd guess probably the US. Though I can't imagine where you could be going with this.
