I do mission work in Tanzania, E. Africa. I have been there 4 times and do know basic Swahili, but would love to improve my skills. Thanks for any help.

there was someone on a few months ago that said dhe was fluent in Kiswahili maybe i can get her to e-mail you
in the mean time here are some sites where people help eachother with languages both are free sites
usually two people help each other learn their languages, but I'm sure you can find someone who will just speak Kiswahili.

i would love to learn as well.. but .. i have absolutly no use for it .. i just think its a wonderful language.

have you checked out any Univiersities there ? i looked for some classes in yahoo search and didn't find any for the detroit area.. but have you checked out any Univiersities there ? you can also try Craigslist .. http://geo.craigslist.org/iso/us/mi ... if you haven't heard of it.. its a great site that I am always on .. its very useful. click "post of classifieds" and post that you are looking for a partner or a teacher ..

Good luck
