March 12th is really soon.

But I believe it's still possible. If you're really serious about losing this weight, go on a crash diet. Eat only 1 or 2 meals (1 brings faster results of course) a day, and then only vegetables or fruits. NO meats, carbohydrates, sweets of course, or anything else. Drink water only, no milk, sodas, processed juices, etc. Try to do some short, minor light exercise (for you, walking is fine), but not a lot. Don't exert yourself - your body already will be. Some of my friends do this once in a while.

You could also go on a cleansing fast, which is extreme crash dieting. That's eating nothing for a couple days to a week. Drink lots of water, and maybe fresh mixed fruit/vegetable juice for morning/dinner (you can also skip the juice altogether for a real fast, or once every other day). Other times, only water. Don't exercise. The first day is the hardest for your hunger pangs (drink water), but they decrease and disappear after that. This is good not just for dieting, but also for cleansing the body of toxins. You'll actually feel more energized.

Please do your own research before trying either. Both require willpower and discipline, plus in your case, probably parental approval. Tell them it's just a temporary experiment. Listen to your body.

Long-term, consider going vegetarian, and yes, your mother is right about gaining weight because of sitting in front of the computer + TV too much.

PS. Cardio exercise is literally heart exercise, like jogging (you can jog in place at home), running, swimming, jumping jacks (doable at home), etc. Anything that makes your heart beat substantially faster after a short period of exercise. Good for burning calories and overall health. But remember, do NOT combine exercise with crash dieting or fasting!

Best of luck!

Losing weight is a simple equation: if you burn more calories than you eat, the weight will come off. Start off by estimating how many calories you burn each day using the calorie calculator http://straighthealth.com/pages/tools/caloriecalclb.html This will give you an idea of how many calories to eat. Healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week. To lose 1 pound per week you need to create a calorie deficit (burn more than you eat) of 500 calories per day. To lose 2 pounds a week, you have to double the deficit to 1000 calories per day. You can achieve this by eating less, exercising more or a combination of both. I do pilates in front of the tv, lol, it seems to be helping, cardio exercise is any exercise that increases your heart rate, such as jogging, running, biking.
for me, the problem is getting motivated. try getting some nice sweat pants or work out gear to get you motivated. try going for walks and jogging for 5 minutes each walk. I read this study that said 10 minutes of intense physical actvity such as sprinting can be as beneficial as an hour of moderate exercise like jogging. so even just going out for a fast sprint around your block each day could help burn more calories than you usually do.
try eating more fruits/veggies. what motivates me to do so is cutting up a few fruits after school and setting them out nicely on a plate. it looks delicious and makes me feel healthy and good about myself. just eat proper meals and try to cut down on snacking, but if you have to give in to cravings, try having one day a week when you can have chocolate/candy. friday night is my indulgence night lol
good luck, and remember that you don't have to be a diet fanatic to lose weight, ten pounds isnt that much, you just have to try to burn off a few more calories than you normally do

I incredibly have observed that a lot of universal consumers no longer attend right here. And those that still widespread are consistently complaining relating to the trolls and the Yahoo vigilantes. i'm guessing that those human beings in simple terms get pissed off and flow on. whilst the human beings working the sight do no longer care to rectify the themes that's what occurs.

that's your problem, you sit infront of the computer ALOT. you know, after doing your homework and you don't have any job at that time, just go to the park and jog... play sports and stuff. it really depends on you if you really want to lose weight. of course, you can diet, but your still young. just try not to eat junk foods and stuff. eat healthy. exercise.
