I want to tone up, and dancing to me, would be the best way, but does it work?

dancing is ok but you have to target certain areas if you want to really tone. read tips on some great workouts and more on this site

Dancing depending on what kind it is can be classified as cardio. Its not nearly as good as walking on a treadmill on an incline or running or swimming or biking but its okay. If you want to tone up you should do some research there is a ton out there.

any kind of physical activity you do on a daily basis will aid in toning up the body. But infrequency will nullify the benefits. The activity you choose must be done on a daily basis, 365 days a year, to be of true benefit and help you tone up.

Oh honey- believe me- you will tone up! Try doing a salsa or a cha-cha for 30 minutes and work up a sweat! You use your thighs, hips, upper body, legs.
The best way is to take lessons and practice. Or, just boogie around the house.

Dancing will defiantly tone your body , don't forget to warm up before you start and stretch afterwards. Try to vary you dance routine.

Well, give it a try. I would suggest a Waltz, perhaps like the old song says, "Waltz across Texas".....that ought to take off some pounds.

Dancing will help, a few sit ups and butt tucks will also help.

sure esp if you buy the stripper one that is out now, it is a very good cardio body workout
