Call the IRS at 1-800-829-1040, they can provide you with transcripts of your return and W2 information and have it mailed to you in 7 to 10 days, or by fax if you have access to a fax machine. If you need an actual photo copy of the return you would need to complete form 4506 and send that along with a check for 39.00 to the service center where you filed, it will take 60 days to process your request

If you need them yesterday, your screwed. You can call the IRS and order an extract of your tax return from any prior year. It takes 6 - 10 days to get it to you.
If you need copies of the actual return as filed, there is a $39.00 charge per return and it takes 6 - 8 weeks to process the request.
Just because the accountant moved doesn't mean that you can't get a copy from him or her. Just look them up in the Yellow Pages or google the name. Accountants don't generally move across the country, only across town, and he or she should still be reachable. That's really your ONLY shot if you need them in the next day or two.

You have to contact the IRS. It will cost you something and sorry, you have no chance of getting them yesterday, today or even for a few weeks probably. They are really business at this time of year!
If you have your taxes done by someone, they would probably have a copy.
Good luck. Next time, don't loose important documents.

If you filed your return manually, meet your jurisdiction assessing officer and request for copy of the acknowledgement. You need to provide the acknowledgment number and date on which you filed the return. If you filed the return electronically, log in to your account and see in my returns there you can find your previous year acknowledgements.
