NO everyone has to pay their own way to work! You only claim travel expenses if you have to travel somewhere else for your work! You still don't get to claim the expenses for going to and coming home from work!!

As said above, the answer is no. But some employers pay for all or part of public transportation expenses, so you should check with yours.

No, commuting expenses are not deductible no matter how you get to work and back.

Nope, but it's cute that you asked. Commuting is a choice, so is how you do it. It is not one that the IRS gives a hoot about.
