looking for people that served in the 224th regiment-40th infrantry division-korean war?

I am trying to help a friend of mine search for some buddies he served with in the korean war. Any ideas how to go about doing this?

Contact The Headquarters of the 40th Infantry Division at Los Alamitos CA. They have an archivist and records of who served with that unit. Then you can do some web searches on the names and last known home towns. Many will be deceased by now, since most Korean war vets are in their seventies and eighties by now.
