i have a very light blond color and it comes to about my shoulders(i want it to grow longer, to about to my chest.) any ideas for what to do with my hair until then?

Headbands are in this season.
You can wear a low pony tail. Use a light colored elastic. Wrap a section of your hair to cover the elastic and secure it w/ a bobby pin for a little sophistication. You can also use a ribbon to conceal the elastic for a touch of whimsy.
Change the way you part your hair. Part it to one side and secure it with an embellished bobby pin or two.
A few light layers and/or long bangs are another way to add shape and versatility without sacrificing too much length.

Layer it, and highlight it, to take away from the shortness of it.
