If you were living apart and your girlfriend told you she wants to move closer to you, to your city. Even though my boyfriend and I have discussed the possibility, he is at hte moment looking for a job near my city but he is so stressed out with his current job, he has not been in a very good mood. The other possibility is if it does not work out for him to get a job near here, I will go to his country. However, I have the feeling he has been focusing on his job situaiton too much and when I mention that we should discuss my move, he says we can but don't do this only for me please.

I'd feel like you were changing your life for me. His response tends to indicate that that's a responsibility that he feels he's not ready for. You should probably respect that and reconsider. Moving closer to him may be pressure that he doesn't want and it could actually split you up.

Personally, if i love my girlfriend then i have no problem with her moving closer to me. It's a decision the two of you need to make together. I also have no problem with my woman relocating for the benefit of our relationship...but if my job is stressing me like his, maybe a new job in a new city is just what both of you need. His stress will affect your relationship negatively sooner or later, so be a little patient with him, but at the same time he should be made to realize the weight his stress has on you too. Get him to commit to a decision without bruising his ego. ;- )

He may be focusing on his job situation now because he is trying to find something closer to your area and he may feel that if he cant find a job in your area then he cant move to be closer to you....He has to eat and i am sure that you have to too, right?

I would just let her move closer to me. I would probably get a better, high paying job mostly because I know the language.

If his job is stressing him then you should leave him alone and just let him work. You can just call him, e-mail him, and visit him once in a while if you want to. But you don't have to take MY word for it! Go ahead! Listen to your heart! Good Luck! :D
