diet: eat only smaller portions a day, salads, fruit, bread and other carbs for energy.

exercise: jump rope, it is a fat burner boxers use it to lose flab and fat real quick, running, yoga, pilates anything that has to do with cardiovascular exercise. Keeping going with the sit-ups and crunches.

Tell her to think of herself as a ballon.

We tend to gain around the core and in turn it goes down first around the core -- but the whole body is involved, and "defalting a little everywhere, just like a ballon deflates when air is let out.

The biggest key to loosing weight is changing your life style and what we eat is only part of that. Drink at least eight glasses of pure water daily, walk, jog or run a half houir daily at least four days per week and eat a balanced diet. Forget the sweets and carbonated drinks, pastries, mixed drinks and cigs if she smokes. A stiff drink of alcohol will 'dead bang' stop any weight loss program for a couple of days.

Big surprise but going to bed by at least 10 p.m. and not eating anything after 6 p.m. can really help. Tell her she cannot stay out past midnight on weekends!!! lol
If she wants to add some gym visits or swimming feel free.

Just do the minimum stuff a high school coach would demand of players and get busy. -- Finally, she might consider an internal cleanse with some product like Yerba Prima for women.

There is no such thing as spot weight reduction. You cannot target the waist to lose flab there. Situps strengthen and thighten the muscles, but don't do any more to get rid of the fat in the mid section than does riding a bike.

The simple formula for losing weight is to eat less and excercis more.

Your mom can do some research online to come up with a diet, or visit a nutritionist to come up with a diet. By diet it's not meant a temporary thing. Diet includes a lower calorie phase to lose weight/flab and then a regular caloric intake so that the flab doesn't return.

One good thing that helps with the belly is tell her to try and not eat after 8:00pm or 9:00pm at night. There's not a lot of physical activity after then, usually just sleeping so fats and other calories can store easier. Also drinking A Lot of water helps, it controls hunger and thirst so she won't go for that midnight snack. It also flushes out foods that might be sitting in the stomach. Usually about half a gallon to a gallon a day. Both of these are really simple ideas that can help tons!! Good luck and let me know if it works!!
