No. You just make your choices depending on the options you have. The rest is on your mind.
We need to believe that everything happens for a reason to comfort ourselves when things don't go the way we wanted. It works for some people, I don't say it's a bad thing.
I just think it's best to be responsible for your own choices and your own life, instead of blaming fate or something. And this way when things don't go the way you expected, you can do something about it, you are not a victim.
Somebody will be Mr or Mrs Right if you choose him/her to be (and they choose you).

We all would like to be romantic and believe there is someone “destined” to be with you. But reality is, and this is based on my own experience, that is just a random pick. If you think there is someone out there for you, then you should say that there are many people out there for you.

But don’t worry, you should find at least one, if not many more. Is up to you to decide who is that special one. It could be living next to you, or it could be on the other side of the world. But one thing is for sure: the more people you get to know, the more chances you get to find that special one. Those who stay in a closed circle might never find a good person, or end up choosing someone that shouldn’t have been with you because there were no more options (do I hear divorce eventually?).

I think everything happens for a reason and that there is someone out there for everyone its just a matter of wanting to find that someone and knowing how to determine if they are the right one which isnt easy to find. If everything happens for a reason then eventually things fall into place.

I did believe it but the more woman and men get plastic surgery and stuff the more I stop believing because I think of it this way. If there is one person out there for everyone and say there is a man who likes big breasted woman, he might end up with someone with implants and the real girl who he should have ended up with will end up with no one. lol. Kinda confusing and hard to explain. Sounds better in my head.

Yes there is someone out there for everyone you may meet that person by looking or it can just happen. I do think that sometimes things happen for a reason and you are never too old either.

I believe that. My sister and I debated that the other night. Because we both have gone through really bad relationships and we both screwed them up. And we wondered if God put these people in our paths to see if we can handle a relationship or to see how badly we can screw it up. There is someone out there for everyone and everything happens for a reason.

I used to believe this. I used to also believe there was some sort of *God* out there. But recently, I've learned that you create your own destiny. Things were easier when you believe there being a reason for everything that happens, it's easier to accept when they do happen. I used to think there was someone for every person out there...some just have good luck, others-not so much.

fate, karma, cause and effect, life...its all a matter of what you believe.

some people believe good things will come to those who wait, some believe that a good thing must be given in order to be received.
others believe that controlling one's own life will make results according to their expectations.

sounds more like a philisophical matter dont it?

Combination of the two. There are several people out there for every person but it's up to fate that they meet and it's up to them that it works out.

I used to.
I look at my Gran she was widowed 50 years ago and now 91 - has never met anyone else. So if that is the case surely she wasn't meant to have loved just once.?
