God is love? Unconditional love, I think not. There are conditions. i keep getting told God doesn't answer my prayers because I don't respect him. I'm told I don't feel the "Holy Spirit" because I haven't welcomed God.

Why do we, the so very imperfect beings need to be the first ones to love God. Why wouldn't God show himself to everyone, and have a loving relationship

God is helping them by giving them health (while they don't believe in Him).
Giving them the gift of seeing (while they don't believe in Him).
Giving them the gift of hearing (while they don't believe in Him).
Giving them family, money, beauty in the world (while they don't believe in Him).
Giving them countless things (while they don't believe in Him)...

And the most important thing:
Giving them brain to think with to believe in Him is the most important....

Please read my words carefully:
If you see footmark in the sand, you'll say that someone passed from here...
If you see a piece of dog sh*t on the ground, you'll say that a dog passed from here...
So what about the enormous universe, the sky, stars, planets, earth and all the beauty in it, doesn't it lead to that someone made it?!!!

Some people say that everything is created by itself after the big-bang... I won't ask you about what caused the big-bang, but I'll ask you a simple question:
If you take all the letters of the alphabet, multiples of them, and you threw them randomly on the floor. Do you expect (by a chance of one in infinity) to get a poem like shakespear's??!!

Can't you see how organized our universe is, the planets, the eco-system on earth, look even in your own body... Can you control your heart-beat? Can you control your breath while you're sleeping? Who stopped your eye-lashes from growing after reaching a certain length? Who told the baby turtles to move towards the sea and not to the earth after they come out of their eggs? Who taught the bird how to make nests?

My friend, think with your heart and brain. If you're still lost, think about the following:

Do you know how to play safe?
Non-believer's case:
If there's no God and you do all what you want in life, then nothing will happen to you after life. But if there was God and you were mistaken, then you'll blame yourself FOREVER...

Believer's case:
If there's God and I followed His commands in life, then I'll be in Heaven after life FOREVER. But if there was no God and we're mistaken, then nothing bad will happen to us after life...

Now you know how to play-safe, in case you're not convinced?

It's like a parent watching his child learn to walk. Many times the parent is there to catch the child when he falls....but sometimes one must let the child fall and pick himself up. The love is still unconditional.

So too with God. There comes a point where we have to show God that we're responsible and capable in most respects BUT we need Him, too. Then He will help.

Unconditional love does not mean unlimited assistance.

You're not the one who needs to take the first step to a relationship with the Lord. Jesus died on the cross so you could have a relationship with God, that sounds like a pretty big first step to me.
Why doesn't God show himself to everyone? He did that, Jesus was here, what else does He need to do?
And yes, God's love is unconditional. But you have to accept that love. If you reject the sacrifice Christ made, then you're rejecting God's love.
God's way of helping those who don't believe in Him is by bringing them to Him. But if they resist, they are, again, resisting God and the love He offers.

i can't quote any scripts from the bible cause of the rules,
but,the person that told you these things is wrong!! God knows no time and yet we expect His immediate answer,at times i feel the Holy Spirit and at times i don't I have had many prayers answered and i am a sinner..........God is unconditional....otherwise i would not be here today....
in order to here from God in my opinion, you have to simply ask ,as well as be willing to here His answer ,it may or may not be the answer you are looking for
as far as being imperfect beings and having to love God...this all starts back when lucifer went against God and was cast down to earth...that's why God created us so we would have a chance to decide for ourselves which way we want to go...no one can choose this for you nor can anyone else be the judge of your personal relationship w/ god
i do not know as to why He doesn't show Himself to everyone but i believe for me ,i have to be the one excepting of Him and i have to seek Him ,He knows where i am and He already excepts me.....it's not complicated at all unless we make it that way. i hope this answered your question or at least helped..

First off dont get so defensive, cause its not God's problem its yours.
Secondly, Why should God answer your prayers when you dont respect him. He is the Almighty creator of the universe, I thankful that he even has time to here my prayers and answer them. You first need to be in a relationship with him, befor you wonder why he doesnt answer your prayers
You CAN NOT expect God to just sit back until you need him, if you want him to answer your prayers then first you must ask him to come into your heart and save you. Its a give give situation, you devote your life to God and he'll make you one of his children and he'll love you unconditionally and he'll answer your prayers in his timing.
Also if your going to ask a God question make sure its a real question, cause i can see your motive, your just trying to bash God.
I personally find your view quite offensive.

Somewhere in a field a plant is sending out very beautiful flowers that no one will ever see -- ones that if you come across them you might say the plant is just radiating love for no other reason than it just wants to.

What I'm suggesting is that you just let go of expecting something in return before you can radiate love, just do it if that's what you really want to do. What you will feel back may be something you consider to be from G-d, but do you have to wait?

Some years ago I started saying my thanks for the day, even though I didn't believe in G-d, it just felt like a nice, positive thing to do, and it let me go to sleep with positive thoughts. Then one day I felt as if I was given a "You're welcome".

He does still try he never gives up but when their time to be Judged by the Lord they will regret the fact that the Lord try ed to help them but they did not seek for his help. In the Bible the Lord Say's in John that he will knock and if you wont answer he will. You read the rest you should believe in him why not all of God's Children do and Angles were all ready with the lord. and Disciples were humans on earth like us not in the same conditions but still were humans and now their with God and The Lord Jesus.

Good question. Well do you believe in god? First of all, you have to walk by faith not sight, and yes your right god does have unconditional love for you, but you have to be willing to sacrifice some things for the lord. God gave us the option to choose him, now the option is up to you!!!!

I have tried and I cannot find, either in Scripture or history, a strong-willed individual whom God used greatly until He allowed him to be hurt deeply.

"Just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows". 2 Cor. 1:5

Your Savior knows your breaking point. The bruising and crushing and melting process is designed to reshape you, not ruin you. Your value is increasing the longer He lingers over you.

"For He wounds, but He also binds up; He injures, but His hands also heal". Job 5:18

I am a Christian, but I don't subscribe to the whole 'wrath of God', heaven or 'burning lake of fire' dogma. I used to but I changed my mind when I read an essay by Carlton Pearson on Inclusionism. If I were you, I'd check it out. It really changed my view on a lot. It lets me be more free of guilt and remain true to a lot of the beliefs I was raised with.
