There are several reasons your cat could be losing hair.

It could have fleas, ring worms or a parasite (these can be brought into your house on humas)

Or she could be missing somethign from her diet. Try feeding her a top quality food like Royal Canin and see if it helps

I have a cat that started doing this when she was about 1 1/2 yrs old. It would happen a couple of times a year. She's 4 yrs old now, and this is the first time it hasn't happened in almost a yr. I've had her to the vets and they said a skin allergy of some sort. They thought from fleas, but found no fleas. They gave her antibiotics and steroids. That cleared it up but it came back a few weeks later. I don't know if this is something that she just outgrew or if something has changed so that she's not bothered by it now. I've also medicated her with peroxide and neosporine ointment which worked just as good as the meds from the vet. You should probably find a way to get her to the vet if there's any way possible, just in case is something more serious than a skin "rash" type thing. Good luck.

This problem could stem from boredom. You cat could be licking all the hair off, a sign of obsessive grooming. Maybe you should get an aquarium with a cat-proof lid, or a bird feeder outside her favorite window. If you're not home all the time, like at work or school, that could be a problem too. Set aside a designated time for play-time, and she might be a happy cat once again!!!

It might be a skin infection if it is in an specific patch. Try Selsun Blue shampoo the blue one in the are leave it there for 2 days and give him a bath and see if it gets better. Repeat until hair grows back. If it is not just one patch and it is thinning could be lack of vitamins. I nothing else works take him to the vet.

Unfortunately it sounds like a vet is exactly what she needs. When cats start losing their hair like that, it can mean that they're not getting the proper nutrients in their diet. If you absolutely can't go to a vet, try changing the kind of food you're giving her.

Yep, often it truly is especially conventional for cats to shed hair. With my cats, nonetheless, i can't generally tell the place on their bodies they are dropping it FROM--if components of them are going bald, which would be some form of sickness which you truly desire to get regarded at. You stated round her ears--are you beneficial you do no longer advise the neck? now and back the collar can chafe and reason cats to lose hair around their neck.

it could be anything from improper diet to ring worm.

you will have to take her to the vet. You can't own a pet and think you will never have to take it to the vet. if you can afford a pet, you can afford to take care of it.

*It is against the law and considered Animal Cruelty to know your pet has a medical condition that needs to be treated, and not treat it.
