i started tryin 2 lern more bout my puerto rican culture=speakin spanish, hangin out wit my latino frens, all of wich i luv...but my fam don seem to approve. they almost seem to resent the fact that im latino. even tho we all noe latinos is soo cool n stuff...im jus like y cant my fam accept me for who i am? no im not adopted...my fam is black...im black n puerto rican.

well ur fam needs to accept u how u r. try a family counselor. a professional could help u guys get to the roots of the problem. im goin thru the same thing n i still cant figure out y my family is actin funny bout it.

By what you wrote, may be what your parents are trying to tell you, is to concentrate on your English first, and then you can go into another culture. Is it the friends that you are hanging around that they do not like, and they fell they have a negative effect on you. Concentrate on school, and things will get better in the home!

you're able to pay attention for having a tattoo everywhere too obvious like the neck or hands cos it may influence your job possibilities as 4 sum jobs u jus could seem clever. different than that i think of tats on the palms and shoulder blades seem v solid

Is it the culture that they don't approve of? Or your specific friends?
It's possible that they're bigoted. There are lots of folks that fall into that category.
