we are in our 40's. there was a huge mutual attraction and after the second date he said that he wants me sexually very badly but knows i don't want that. i invited him over for dinner and he said no he wants me sexually and knows i don't want that. i want to know him better before getting physical. is he saying he already knows he could never feel anything but lust for me? how is that possible? i don't know what i could feel for him in the future since i don't know him yet. someone please explain this - hopefully a man in our age group. thanks!

I think he's being very up front. He's horny, he wants to bed you and is not interested in a relationship.

How is that possible? He's a guy.... He thinks of sex every 8 seconds.

He just wants to get you into bed. By inviting him to your home for dinner, he thought he actually had a shot. He has stated very plainly that he wants you sexually. He's not sending mixed signals here. He does not want to take the time to get to know you and what he likes about you; he's just in it for sex. Tell him thanks but no thanks and move on.
If he is truly interested in a relationship with you, he'll realize his mistake and come back without the sexual pressure. If he doesn't, then you know he was only after you for one thing. Good luck.

Tony has one good point of view. Another is that sometimes, you have to get past sex before a man can see more. It does happen, but its not a high percentage hit. Guys do get Horney and sometimes it takes getting past that to be able to see more. Think about it. Physically guys need to release... have phone sex with him and then have him over for dinner. Maybe the behavior could change. I don't know.

He's being honest. Or would you rather date for six weeks before you sleep with him, tell him that you love him, and have him tell you he only lust after you.?
