What is a 4 flat.?? and how many months do you have to complete to get parole??

We live in the state of New Jersey and
My boyfriend got a 4 flat and is saying that he is eliglbie for parole after 11 months? Is that true??

I would take the 11 months (or more) to find a new boyfriend. Please do not wait around for him. If he gets out, and cleans up his way of living (to avoid more jailtime), you might consider taking him back. But I would be less worried about how much time he will get, & more worried about the fact that he has been found guilty (or plead guilty) & is receiving a 4 yr sentence.
