Just wondering because that seems the best time for my schedule. I always thought if you worked out in the morning it's better for your metabolism.

There are certain perks to working out in the morning ... it does raise your metabolism and get you some energy for the rest of the day. But if you simply do not have time, working out is still working out, no matter what time of day - especially strength training. I prefer to do my strength training in the afternoon/evening after my muscles have had time to stretch out and "wake up". Whenever you're going to do the exercises to their highest effectiveness is when you should exercise. If you're too tired to do it in the morning, you'll end up being sloppy and could pull a muscle or twist an ankle or something.

Morning workouts are traditionally thought to raise your metabollism and keep it higher for a few hours. Evening workouts will do the same but the downside is you may find it hard to get to sleep. Any fitness books I have read reccomend to stop working out at least 3 hours before bedtime for this reason.

I think it'd be more effective to work out in the morning before you go to work so that you can be stimulated the rest of the day. If you work out at night then your just gonna go get in your bed and cramp up in the morning...so morning workout is the way to go!

Whatever time works for you is the best. Just remember that working out too close to bedtime may give you a hard time getting to sleep. Neither is more effective, its what works for you.
