It seems after extensive debate on here the underlying reason for creation was we were made to love God. Jesus gave two commandments, essentially Love God, and your neighbour. Why love your neighbour, because your neighbour is one of God's creations, so loving your neighbour is really an extension of loving God. Which means our soul purpose in life is to love God. Why? Why does God need to create an entire universe, and entire race, just to have someone to love him? Insecurities?

"He wants a relationship with his creation just like you and I would with our children."

So you would kick you're child out of home for eating fruit they were told not to. Then you would raise your fourth kid into being a murderer. then you would kill almost your whole family for not respecting you. Then you would kill the first born sons of some of your kids. then you would help some of your kids win wars against some other of your kids. Then you would send your favourite son to be ridiculed, tortured and crucfied?

wrong question. He doesn't need us too appreciate his life supporting laws and his life giving self. We just cease existing if we had enough. He don't force you to love him or else there wouldn't be the choice of ceasing to exist. The situation wasn't about a fruit, it was about where the fruit came from and the enemy who wants to have us deceived. The fruit was merely a bribe. The killing was just getting rid of those who didn't appreciate life in the first place, why keep them in misery?

Lol that's my question. We came up with a very promising reason involving God being insecure since choldhood, during which the other kids at Divinity high stuffed him in his locker. That Zeus was especially nasty...

Adam and eve disobeyed Jehovah god he said clearly that if they ate the fruit them they would positively die.( Numbers 23:19)all the angels in heaven heard him say that and Adam and eve heard it to so if god wouldn't have followed through then everyone would have thought he was being untrue to his word right? (right) and you know Satan told them that if they ate it there eyes would be open and they were bound to be like god so if Jehovah god would have killed Satan on the spot the angles would have thought he had something to hide so therefore he had to let everything play out. and that brings us to were we are right now.

You've got it the wrong way around. People need love so bad they are willing to settle for imaginary love from a deity that doesn't even exist. Insecurities.

Isn't it because HE is a jealous God? God is an emotional metaphysical humanoid bent on making his creations respect him and his creations(some religions). Its a moral thing created to keep humans on check.

to your add on. God didnt do that, if there is a lack of light it is dark, if there is a lack of heat, is it not cold. God didnt kill the firstborns, the people who sinned chose that, in case you didnt read, moses stopped that. he set his people free from pharoh (ramases), and lead them through the red sea, and they got away from it.
