Parakeets are socitity birds, they do enjoy the company of other birds. When you introduce another bird into it's cage you need to supervise they activity for a while to make sure they adjust to each other. There is no reason why you can have the 3 month old in with him. Just keep an eye on them both to make sure they dont fight. If fighting happens you would have to place them in seperate cages, but place the cages close so they can communicate with each other.

Introducing a new bird takes time and not always work. First you need to be sure your budgie is male. At 3 months unless DNA sexed could be either or gender. Next your new bird needs to be quarantined for 3-90 days in a separate cage and room. Also taken to a vet to be sure for both birds sake not carrying anything. then after that time you can place their cages next to each other and watch them.

They should be fine together as long as the cage is big enough to have two birds in. Budgies do like company so another one would be good or else try putting a radio near him or the TV, keep it on when you are not there, the sound will keep him company. Two males will be fine together, there may be some initial squabbling but it should not last long.

Just relax about it. His feathers are getting pulled out because it is moulting season and I have 2 budgies myself with the same problem. All you need to do is buy a other budgie (preferred female) and hope for the best. =) But if you do get him a friend make sure you interact with them frequently or they will see each other as allies and you as a threat. If you do so they will have a very strong bond with you. :)

It should be fine, but it depends on the age of the second bird. Most of the time it is best to first introduce a second bird in a separate cage that is next to the first one. Then you can merge them, the best thing to do would just be to watch them and see how they react.

parakeets are extremely sociable. it is probably a good idea to get him a friend. i would get a new one and introduce them with bars between them. see how they act at first they will probably not get along, but after about an hour they should be okay. put them in the cage together but watch them closely. there will be some competition for food, perches, toys, etc. that is OK. they need to establish who is boss. after about a week, they should be good buddies. i play the radio wile i introduce new birds. the ones i have LOVE the radio. good luck!

Budgies stay in tremendous flocks in Australia, so your little lad might want to probable love some corporation - the further the merrier. the purely problem with them is they chatter to at least one yet another so might want to correctly be very noisy. I once had an indoor aviary with about a dozen budgies in it and they could be fairly deafening.
