It's the best soda pop one can drink, when caffeine is prohibited-
for example, you have a head ache and take Excedrin for it- or any other time that you can't consume caffeine, which 7 Up doesn't have. Sure, there is a caffenated veresion, but the lable on the bottle of that one, is upside down and the liquid is as green, as Mountain Dew. Other wise, 7UP is caffeine free. I've drank Sprite and I've drank 7Up. Sprite is too darn difficult for me, to swallow.

7up stomach ulcer

Yes, it doesn't have caffeine and that's one thing my doctor told me to avoid when my ulcer was going nuts. He didn't really put a ton of restrictions on me other than greasy foods, acidy foods, spicy foods and caffeine. Wait, that IS a lot of restrictions. Ulcers stink, don't they? I feel for you, hon. Hope you get to feeling better soon. Pepto Bismol always helped me and it was permissible to take with the Prilosec they prescribed.

The sugar in the pop helps the soothe the stomach and makes it eiser for the stomch to absorb liquuids. Also, 7up does not contain caffine or color additives. Caffine & other additives can be irrating to a severly upset stomach.

It's probably not the best thing, but probably not the worst either. It's acidic but not as acidic as cola or other drinks like coffee. Check with your doctor to see what's ok to drink

your doctor should have advised you to stop drinking all carbonated beverages - its not the coloring or caramel of colas that upsets your ulcer, its the carbonation & sodium.

The bubbles may give you gas, but you should be ok.
Basically Dr. Munya says stay away from "brown" drinks.
Cola, tea, chocolate milk, coffee...etc etc etc.
