how much would it be for about 50 hours a year on a Hawker 800XP? Not a jetcard, but a one time payment for a fraction of ownership equaling about 50 hours a year, and also, what other fees are there on top of that?

From experience I can tell you that unless you need more than 100 hours/year, fracs are the best way to go.

Unlike cell phones, the fracs haven't come around to rolling time you don't use around to the next year. At least not that I know of.

The only price I have on hand is what a FlexJet Supervisor gave me 3 or 4 years ago, which put a fractional ownership of a Challenger 604 at $600k/year.

You'll pay for fuel for the trip and whatever minimal legal reserves the management has set up with the FAA. The managment will recommend destination airports near your intended destination that they have fuel agreements with and mark the cost of fuel up 10-15%. And you'll have to pay for your catering, services, and the like and pilot needs if your travel parameters change by a day and pilot standby time.

I've seen charges as high as $100/plate for a chicken ceasar salad that was consumed by the line crew when the flight was cancelled due to an emergency, necessitating the cost of replacement catering the following day.

So, for much less, at only 50 hours a year, there's a good chance you could go first class commercial and the time spent clearing security, retrieving baggage and arranging your own rental car is probably a more financially viable option.

Corporate and fractional airlines will permit more items aboard with less questions asked, permitting the ease of moving large size promotional items, firearms for hunting trips, and are more than happy to mark up whatever other services they can get you. They also typically have a greater safety rate than commercial airlines, but at 50 hours a year, you're more likely to spend less on commercial, 1st class flights.

Hope I was helpful.
