All dogs are great but I am used to smaller dogs. I just rescued a medium sized dog and she is great....it cracks me up that she thinks she is small enough to be a lap dog!

That depends on several things. If the dog is going to be an outdoor dog, then you need a medium to large dog. If you're going to have it be indoors, then get a small dog. A small dog indoors would not bump into things, and break things, and a small dog makes a good watch dog at night.
If you want a good companion, get a medium sized dog, maybe a black Lab would be your liking. They are very loyal to their owner.

Love them the two. i've got consistently had enormous dogs and theory i could no longer stand little dogs. Then I accompanied a dogs rescued from a puppy mill. i did no longer comprehend how enormous the dogs might get despite the fact that it known to be a widely used poodle. After 2 and a 0.5 years, the dogs remains becoming, filling out, yet additionally nevertheless getting slightly taller. he's a small widely used poodle and has an spectacular character, very playful, agile and smart. It replaced right into a reliable determination to take a huge gamble on the puppy in the pound. Now we spend our days mutually; he even is going to artwork with me and later on we flow to the dogpark so he can romp and play along with his dogs-buds there. they have a blast and that i do, too. later on, whilst we get domicile, he has dinner and is going to his chair to nap. I do a similar. we've an exceptionally non violent existence So, now i've got been around medium length dogs a lot and that i do no longer techniques them in any respect. yet i'm nevertheless no longer loopy approximately those neurotic little yappers and concern biters.

Yes.
I like them big. I like them small. I like the medium-sized dogs. And the tiny ones, and the humongous, gi-normous dogs are great, too.
We have owned:
Beagles
Beagle mixes
Heinz 57s
Miniature Schnauzers (my parents bred these guys for years)
a German Shepherd Dog
a German Shepherd/Black Lab mix
a Chihuahua
Plus I spent three years handling dogs at Field Trials for a coon dog breeder (mostly Black and Tan Coonhounds and Black and Tan mixes, some Redbones and Blueticks, and Bluetick mixes, and Walkers for treeing). These dogs were bred for hunting and field trials, not for showing.
I've also lived with a Doberman Pinscher, a Great Dane, and an Irish Setter (not my dogs, and not all at once, but I spent considerable time with them, especially Sarah, the Dobe)

Large dogs are a bit of a pain to take for a walk, but they're just as loveable as small ones.
Al though personally, I do prefer smaller dogs as they are easier to take places, since you can pick up a small dog, but it's a bit difficult picking up a large one, haha.

Right now because I have an apartment I like small dogs. When you walk them they poop small and its easy to pick up lol. When I get a house I'll probably get a big dog too though. All dogs are good overall though :D

My favourite breed is obvious from my avatar but I like most larger breeds. I used to dislike little dog's as I found them yappie and usually very spoilt! I've been converted though as I now work for a man who owns a Pomeranian. She is a big dog in a small body, never yaps(it's a real bark) and is well trained. she's also very protective of her owner who is in a wheelchair!

I, personally like medium/large dogs too.
Little dogs are just too yippy and "delicate" for me.
I'm a bit, okay a lot, on the clumsy side and I'm leery around little dogs.
