I was thinking red wine. How many calories does it have?

Spirited drinks, or distilled alcohol, has calories just like anything else. However the calories in these drinks, vodka, gin, scotch, whiskey, etc., are empty; meaning they have no nutritional value. You cannot get fat by consuming these drinks by themselves. You can have a great effect on your liver and sex drive and that effect is not positive.

Beers, ales, lagers, stouts and other malted drinks have many calories, as well as, carbonic acids and other non-healthy ingredients. However, these drinks do have proteins and other nutritional ingredients. I know of many runners who would train by drinking flat or non carbonated beers. They explained that they could run further and train better. They did not get drunk because they drank it in small amounts as they would be training for up to 10 miles at a time.

Wine, by itself is the best beverage in the alcohol arena, in my opinion. All wines have anti-oxidants with reds having the most. The calories are minimal so the risk of gaining weight in negligible.

Red wine has a lot of sugar in it. I think vodka & diet coke has the least calories.

Remember to drink responsibly though!

Vodka and a diet mixer

In a (single) vodka and diet coke, there is 55 calories.

In 100ml of red wine, there is 70 calories.

Overall, red wine is the best for you. It MAY have a higher calorie count than others (not always) but it also has antioxidants and those are super for you.

red wine is definitely the healthiest type of alcohol you can drink, but as far as calories, i would say straight vodka or tequila, the clear stuff, if you wanna drink a cocktail, i would say diet seven up with vodka, thats a great low cal cocktail and has 0 carbs

I'm a wine drinker, but I'm on weight watchers. You are better off drinking spirits, mines a bacardi and diet coke. Cheers
