Look in the phone book for an Indian or Pakistani grocery store. They will always have henna and some will have henna "plates" plastic sticky patterns. I've never bought one that doesn't have directions in English. And a small box is probably $1-5.

You can find many good places online. Just put "henna tattoos" in the search engine. It is also called "mehendhi tattoo" since it comes from India originally. It's not very expensive, and the design will last the best part of a month with proper care.

Finding henna may be tricky. But try looking at beauty supply stores, drug stores and other places that carry hair products. You can often find dry henna in the hair conditioner section. I buy mine at a chain of drug stores called Drug Emporium. Generally if you find it in the hair section it will only cost about $1.35 and last many many applications.

Other than that all you need is coffee or tea to brew and add as the liquid and lemon juice. Eucalyptus and clove oil is helpful but is not necessary.

Also you will probably want to buy or make a stencil. You can make one with contact paper and a razor blade.

Some things like the tea or coffee you can probably find in your home already. Lemon juice is around $1.00. The oils are more expensive but can always be left out. Contact paper about $1.00

So around $5.00 if you don't use the oils.
