I used to love the gold top...all that cream on my cereal. I think red had less cream, silver average amount and green top...wasn't that straight from the cow?

Which country do you live in? In the UK gold top is from Channel Island cows, green is usually semi skimmed and red skimmed. All are available from a milkman/ woman but gold top tends to be harder to come by in the shops. The problem is the colours can vary from place to place.

Hi, They still do Red Top - Skimmed Milk. Green Top - Semi Skimmed Milk. Blue Top - Full Cream Milk. Also there is a breakfast milk which is really creamy.

We get red top for my 3 yrd old.
It is full fat that has been mixed so that the cream does not settle at the top.
It is actually homogonised, some people call it cereal milk.
