I have the same hair. I've been using that Sun Silk and I really like it. I get either the Anti Poof or the Hydra TLC. After I'm out of the shower, while it's still wet, I run either Bedhead's Shine Junkie through it for an overall shine, or CHI's (Cationic Hydration Interlink) Straight Guard. Shine Junkie is good for shine without feeling like you dumped a pot of treacle over your hair. The Straight Guard keeps my hair from poofing... it's still wavy afterwards.

Hmmmm...I have thick AND wavy hair, just like you, and I use White Rain shampoo. If you use a lot of conditioning (not on your roots!) then your hair will shine like crazy! I thought there wasn't any hope left until I found White Rain for my hair to shine, so give it a try.
P.S. I personally use the apple and strawberry.

Aveda Brilliant Shampoo--available only at Aveda Salons, or Humectress Shampoos and Conditioners from Nexxus. My hair used to be very wavy and thick from perm---now it's just thick thick and straight.

anything with cholesterol because it nourishes and provides shine without causing build up. kiehl's castille shampoo is great and follow up with kiehl's hair conditioner and grooming aid formula 133 - it's the bomb for shine, manageability and getting out tangles!

Aussie, not 2-in-1 because that causes build-up... use regular Aussie.
