You really should get onto your airline's website and check it out there. They all have EXTENSIVE information on what to not bring, and where not to bring it, if you know what I mean.

It'll probably take you about a day and a half to read through everything, so start now!

Enjoy your trip!

If you are going to travel anywhere in the UK, it is essential to know that you are prohibited from carrying any kind of fluids on board (except in your luggage of course). 1 liter limit for all passengers, with each container not bigger than 100ml.

You need to check with the airlines you will be traveling on. Their websites always have travel advice as well as allowed weight limits, etc.

As to the amount of luggage you're allowed, check with your airline... it varies. We always tell people to travel light.... if you forget something, you'll be able to get it there. Here is our basic packing list with the" amenities and necessities" we generally take: http://www.mousetourstravels.com/basic-packing-list.html

Here's the US Transportation Security Administration's website with their list of permitted and prohibited items: http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/prohibited/permitted-prohibited-items.shtm If you're traveling into or out of the UK and Europe, the restrictions are slightly different.... metric for one thing, and 100ml bottles (3.4 oz instead of 3 oz in a one liter bag 20 cm x 20 cm (8" x 8") instead of one quart 8" x 7.75").
If you're traveling in the US, I'd go with the smaller size bottles just to be safe, but the metric size plastic bag should be OK. Check the British Airways website: http://baa.com/
You can check our website for our general security packing guide; our guide for packing medications and our guide for packing your cosmetics... http://www.mousetourstravels.com/travel-security-alert-packing-guide.html http://www.mousetourstravels.com/packing-medications.html

Get the number for your local airport. They should be able to tell you all the details. They update them every week it seems like.
