The best recipe is on the back of the Nestle semi sweet morsel package. They are drop cookies, not cut cookies, and they way they are supposed to look is lumpy and homey, its a question of taste over beauty.
I use pecans and add 1/2 cup of coconut to the package and everyone raves about them. So don't tell anyone.

Uh...

Okay, pick up a bag of Nestle tollhouse semisweet pieces. Make the dough according to package directions. Instead of dropping spoonfuls of dough for drop cookies, roll the dough into a log and wrap with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 4 hours.

Preheat the oven to the temperature stated in the recipe. Remove the cookie dough log from the plastic wrap. Slice the cookie dough log into 1/4-inch slices and place 2 inches apart on a cookie sheet. Bake approximately 6-8 minutes.

Normally, you don't need to 'cut out' chocolate chip cookies. They're what are traditionally called 'drop cookies', because you can get a uniform shape simply by dropping them by spoonfuls on a sheet. However, if you want a uniform, consistent look, you can either use the method stated above, or a sorbet scoop (smaller scoop than an ice cream scoop) to make even drops of dough.

By the way... what are 'fake' chocolate chip cookies? Just curious.

I also imagine the Nestle Chocolate Chip Recipe is the acceptable. because others have written out the recipe I gained't take in the area by doing so once lower back. notwithstanding, I do upload a twist to my cookies from time to time. I replace mint extract for the vanilla extract and also you may then celebrate with Mint Chocolate Chip cookies. in case you adore mint chocolate chip ice cream , you should honestly provide this a try sometime.
