It's good to remove scabs, as long as it does not cause them to bleed. Removing a scab instead of allowing it to fall off on it's own, makes for alot less scarring. The white underneath is a scar. However, it will fade with time. Vitamin E oil will lessen the appearance, and fade the scar faster.

It is new skin. It will turn peachy after a few days.
