there is a guy who i became really good friends with (because his best friend liked me then started liking some other girl.. and he was there to help me through it..) so anyways, he's told me a million times he Really likes me a lot and all this stuff lately.. but i've told him i just want to be friends (because i don't see him that way.. i see him as a good friend that's it..) and so he decided he wants to still "hang out" but to him is he still thinking of it as a Date?? because i think he will.. so i don't know if i should? the last time we hung out, i made it clear it was as friends, and we went and saw a movie.. and then that next night was when he told me he really liked me a lot.. so if i go out with him again i don't know if that will be good..?!! but if we are just friends then i don't want to be like i don't want to even hang out with you. but basically it's the same as like a date.. so when guys say hang out do they really mean it? any advice or thoughts??! thanks.

Ok...
His best friend liked you then dumped you when he saw he could have you.
1. The fact that his best friend even sorta went out with you, and HE broke it off, means this guy sees you as "easily attainable."

2. The fact that his best friend even sorta went out with you should make you off limits to this guy... you don't date your friend's ex (unless him & his friend just see you as an expendable piece of meat and not a person of value, i.e "girlfriend material.")

3. You already told him you'll only hang out with him as "just friends", so he knows you suspect he'll try to put the moves on you and that you're not interested...BUT, he tried anyway (totally disregarding what you said, and completely disrespecting your decision.)

4. He knows it could never be serious between you & him, because you'll always be the girl that was interested in his best friend. That means it would always be awkward for him to hang around with both of you at the same time, AND it means if he continues to see you, him & his friend will see it as he's with his friends left-overs, hand-me-downs, used girlfriend, rejects, etc.

5. This guy seems to be under the impression that since you fell for his friend, you'll fall for anybody, so why not him?

6. This guy is just looking to score off your rebound. If you do it with him, he'll dump you, brag to his friends, and tell everyone you're an easy slut. Then his best friend will know he was right to stop seeing you. That would be a BAD thing.

Prove everybody wrong. Make up a guy if you have to but act like you're "seeing somebody" new, and that it's nobody's business but yours.

Stay strong and ditch that guy.
Guys like him have a name..."Bird-Dog." It means when one of their friends break up with somebody, the Bird-Dog races over to try to pick them up. It sounds pretty pathetic, but it's what he's doing. When his friend breaks up with this new girl, watch, this guy will "have feelings" for her too.

In a short answer it simply means lets get together and see what the time we have together will provide for us to do. It could mean anything that might happen. Generally it's combined with 'hanging out with friends' but after that it could mean let's just do what feels good. There's no real good definition for the term except to be open to anything.

Hmm...guys are really weird, so you really never know what they're thinking. Okay, try this. It may seem harsh, but it may get the point across to him that you only want to be friends. Bring another guy with you next time you hang out, make him realize that you 2 really are only friends, and ask him to bring another girl. It's like, double dating, only it's not really a date, you're just "hanging out" with another guy.

Well if you don't like him as more than a friend, but you don't want to stop hanging out w/him either bring some friends along w/you so it's not just you and him. I hope that helps.

Guys latch on to girls they think are hot, but dingbats or dummies (like yourself, if you don't really know the EASY answer) -- that can't figure out that a snake lies in the grass, waiting for the unsuspecting mouse to get in the wrong place, at the wrong time and BAM! (all that's left is your excuses). "Hang out" vs. Go Out means to him -- that he won't have to spend any actual $$$ on you, to get you (like what should be happening, with you keeping him stringing along for 4-5 dates).

He's reaching for whatever time with you he can get, hoping to change your mind. When a guy says he wants to hang out, he wants more.

Umm... yea... well I'm guessin he REALLY likes you... lol... but my advice is to steer clear of anything too romantic, stick to normal activities... because my guess is... he sees it as a date...
