want to be able to feed the doves and not draw black birds because of that bird disease that is going around. my father in law had that disease from birds. thanks!

Wild bird will come to your house to eat whatever you put out for the doves to eat, and Black birds are not picky about the food either. There isnt really anyway to keep Blacks birds away from your home without scaring away the doves. I wish I could tell you a way to just have certain birds at your home.

Anything the dove like, other birds will like as well. I put out milo here to attract them, but it also attracts pidgeons, crows, and everything else with wings. Unfortunately dove seem to be the stupidest birds around, and are slow to get off the ground, so when my cats go to stalking, they never take down the blackbirds. They always catch the dove.

Most birds like the same foods ... french fries , bread and potatoe chips ..
