Do not give your parents your E mail Password. If they already have the one to your exsisting account. Make another and keep it secret. I still live at home and I go buy fight fire with fire right now. Whatever they throw at me I dodge it somehow. If they dont like it tough. We all our entitled to privacy wether we live at home or not.

How old are you? Are you still in high school? If under 18 she has the right to check in on you without you knowing especially is she is suspecting anything. Your parents are just trying to protect you.

If you are over 18. Then move out if you don't want her involved in your life.

Get a new email account for personal stuff and don't give her the password. Use the one she knows about for things you don't mind her seeing since you know she'll be snooping.

Be as sneaky as she is.

Over baring?

If you live at home, you live under your parents rules. So overbearing or not, you are stuck with them. You can try talking to your Mom and explain to her about privacy and ethics and morals, but it's doubtful you will get anywhere.

When you are old enough to move out and support yourself, then you can have your privacy.

Try and do your chores, and keep good grades, and try and do what your parents ask you to do. You could say I am sorry about what you read on my email, it won't happen again. And just hope that she will forgive you!

parents reading their kids emails is a concern for both. It depends on your age, if your a teenager she is most probably concerned about you, trying to protect you. Dont be too hard on her.
