That is a drawing that indicates where the form boards should be placed for a conrete pour.

If the plan is not correct or if it is not installed properly the rest of the building will be MUCH more difficult.

You don't want the slab to stick out past the exterior walls...this would allow rain to seep inside.

In construction this is the way I see it.
This is probably the detail for a concrete or A/C paving edge to meet an existing edge or be thickened to prevent cracking.
