how long does a plane ride take if you're going from philadelphia to california?

also... is there any time difference between new jersey and california? (ex: if it's 2:00 p.m. in new jersey... what time is it in california?)

i live in philly and have gone to CA twice .. it takes about 6 hours, but some flights are shorter or longer....
yes they[CA] are 3 hours behind our time. so like 6pm here would be 3pm there.

if it's 2:00 PM in New Jersey, it's 10:00 am in california. i'm pretty sure, at least.
