Okay, I'm 17 now and I have been dating my boyfriend for a while. Anyways he's my first boyfriend and I'm really not allowed to date. Well my mom and dad dont really mind. It's just my grandfather that I'm worried about (I live with my grandparents). My mom got pregnant with me while she was in high school and he thinks that because I do alot of things like my mom, I'm going to go out and do the same thing she did( get pregnant). I'm wondering whether or not I should tell him about my boyfriend. It's not like I dont have any experience with guys, because I've talked to alot of different guys just never thought much of any of them to actually make them my boyfriend. I'm clueless at the moment because I think its time I tell them about him. What do you think I should do?

Just tell them and explain to them that although you are like your mom in some ways you are not like her in others. You know better than to get pregnant while still in school. Arrange a dinner date for you to introduce your boyfriend to your grandparents. They might actually like him. Whatever you do don't continue to hide this from them. Sneaking around and hiding things from your parents can get you in a lot of trouble.

You are 17. Show that you are responsible and have an adult conversation with your grandfather now. Tell him you found a boy you like and would like to date him (don't say you are already seriously involved). Ask him for permission and explain that you would like his advice. Make sure your grades don't slip and you continue to do your chores to help them out.

Its best to just sit your grandparents down and tell them that you have a boyfriend. Tell them that you are a smart person and that they can trust you so they don't have to worry. Good luck!

i sure he is a great guy .. i would suggest going to dinner or some sort with you grandfather and you boy friend and try to tell him at the same time showing him what a great guy you boyfriend is

i think you should. nothing good comes from hiding these things. if they find out the wrong way, you might lose their trust. just tell them. Nothing bad can happen
