I have been pulled over 2 times for not getting mud flaps on my truck, Now I have heard if you get enough tickets that your license will be taken away? First is that true for fixit tickets (thats what they are for the mud flaps) And Second how many tickets or points do you have to get before they take your license? I live in Az.

The really anal cops will pull you over for the mud flaps, but as far as taking your license away, that's really dependent upon the judge when or if you get it taken away. If you get pulled over too many times for it, more than likely, you will just get a suspended license for a few months or so.

Ok.. there are some other factors that you are missing here.
1) Fix-it tickets are just that.. You won't lose your license for those .. they are designed to give you warnings and to call your attention to a potential problem
BUT>...
the fine for multiple tickets of the same violation may go up at a rate that turns a loan shark green with envy.
AND....
You could have your car impounded if you have scoflawed the fixit tickets..That will cost you even more money for the impound and towing fees.
BUT WAIT,.... THERE's MORE
if you have the bad luck to have the SAME policeman write you up a second (or third) time he may up the anti and cite you for a MOVING violation (say...'driving with an unsafe vehicle') since it can easily be shown that you know about the mud flaps, you will have NO chance of beating that one.. That one is going to cost you both on the fine AND on your insurance.
BUT... the bottom line is simply,.... what is so damn hard about getting a $20 set of mud flaps and screwing them on to the fenderwells and avoiding all this problem???

I'm not sure about Arizona but I do know that too many tickets for anything will get your licence revoked. The reason they want you to get the mud flaps is because especially in trucks you can kick rocks up that may break the windshield of someone behind you which could cause serious damage, or even a wreck, I suggest you go to the store and pick up some flapps, they are not very expensive and easy to put on. It will be cheaper then tickets in the long run and will keep you and other drivers around you safe.

If you were cited by a law enforcement officer for a vehicle code violation and you do nothing about it, you will eventually be hauled off to explain yourself. You will be in more trouble for ignoring the law than for not having flaps. You can research the vehicle code if you need to know specifications of flaps for your vehicle.
If you were pulled over by me for not getting mud flaps, I was just checking you out.

These are non-Moving violations they don't count points they just cost. I would get the flaps fixed by going to an auto parts store and picking the ones that say BACK OFF with yosemite Sam and put them on....

i got the mud flap ticket.. obviously he's not getting laid at home.. cops have a 67% divorce rate, because they are so controlling.. and after thier divorce they take it out on us!! Hurrayyy American Justice at it's best!
