Yep I do! At the grand old age of 44! Soldiers must have marmite or bovril on them.

No, but I certainly would love some!
My Mum used to do the most wonderful ones... Don't know how she got the perfect ever time, but she did!
Not had boiled eggs and soldiers since she died.
She also used to finely chop up two soft boiled eggs in a cup with some butter and a little salt when I was young. I still remember them fondly!
Thanks for the memories...

I'm not sure whether I should admit it, but I've never had soldiers with my boiled egg, usually triangles. I think I'll have some tomorrow, just to see what I've been missing out on all these years.

Omigod yeah. Boiled egg and soldiers is almost the nicest thing for breakfast. Or lunch, or tea.

Love them, but my daughter recently complained that there was something wrong with her egg that I had boiled for her and needed her to eat quickly because we were late for school. I had had enough of her "delay" tactics so told her to get on and eat it or there would be trouble. She tucked in gamely but after a while she tearfully exclaimed that she had done her best but couldn't manage the feet or beak...yuk.

Never had it, but here's a good story for you...about soldiers for breakfast.
My 4 year old Daughter once made breakfast for me on my birthday. Cereal, and coffee. When drinking my coffee, I found a plastic army man inside of the mug. I asked her, "What is this"? She responded, "But Daddy, you always say you love Soldiers in your cup"! (She was trying to refer to my coffee brand, Folgers!)
