I get the same, with the same advice from my GP. You have to bear in mind that symptoms can occur AFTER the cause - I always get a migraine at the start of my holiday, ie after the stress has stopped.

Try not to worry - I have this sometimes - I have had an ecg and heart and chest xrays - nothing showed. I am convinced it is stress. As some others have said, you sometimes don't think that you are stressed but you are. I get palpatations and all sorts - I get so stressed I get on my own nerves sometimes!. Not sure if you are a girl but sometimes, I find sharp pain in my left breast gets worse about a week before my period starts. Relax.x

I went for test after having pains like you describe and the Doc did ECG's, blood tests etc and nothing was amiss, he said it was either 'fibrositis' or the chest muscle.
He prescribed 'Diazepam' and said," take it to relax you and it'll help the pain."
TOO RIGHT I was OFF MY FACE and couldn't feel anything, let alone the bloody chest pain...
It's been a year now and I'm off the pills, and the pain hasn't returned either...

I had the same thing but my doc told me he could find nothing after using only a stethoscope, be aware of getting a balance in your life, be your own unconditional best friend. A good test might be to ask you self if you would treat another human being the way you treat yourself ask yourself this a couple of times a day

It's probably muscle strain, it can't be your heart from what you say as that pain is in the centre, goes through the back and tightens the throat.

It's getting worse as it changes your heart doing permanent damage. You need to pray and relax.
