I happen to like that area being tattooed. If you don't, great. I volunteer to be your tramp stamp inspector. I promise to make sure it stays bright and blemish free for you.
I hate that term, by the way.

I'm thinking about getting a tat there and if I get one, you'll be one of the first to see it :-P Not sure where to start on a design, but it would have to be big and bright.
I'm not the biggest fan of the term, but I will use it very infrequently now and in context of it being true. Its took me a while to get past the stigma, but that was years ago.

yeah i always question the tramp stamp, i mean if you happen to have your lower back showing but its part of a full backpiece thats a bit much to be calling a stamp now! But granted some little white trash coke ho with a piece of tribal off the rack isnt exactly a duchess of class now. A stamp is something that is repeated over and over again, so i tend to define any piece of flash lower back junk that 10000 people probably have as a stamp.
Blair when are you getting your tramp stamp done?????

It is really nasty to insult someone just because they have a tattoo in that particular spot. There are plenty of people who get silly and inane tattoos (remember the barbed wire armbands that were all the rage?), but a lower back tattoo can be very sexy and beautiful when it's done well.
I'm holding off on getting my tattoo there (am already tattooed on my breast and inner ankle), but it's definately in the plans.

that is totally stupid just another label people like to place on others I have a lower back tattoo and by no means am I a tramp its amazing what people come up with these days.

Actually, that was the first tattoo that I got.....of course it was a 5 hour tattoo.........so Does that count as a "tramp stamp"?? I think you need to come and inspect it, then, because I am not quite sure........

although i am not a tramp i agree with that term and yes, i do have one. i can't stand it. i'm waiting for something to cover it up. i want a big back piece, but i haven't had idea's for one. the rest of my tats sum up my life so far. maybe i hate it so much because i got it with my ex husband years and years ago. maybe i hate because everyone's got one now. whatever the reason, i just hate it.

I don't have anything against lower back tattoos. I just think too many girls have them, and I prefer to get one else where on my back, preferbally a large back piece. I know girls who have one, and they are no where near tramps. There are more tramps our there w/o tattoos.

Ok I haven't figured out whether mine would be classified as a "tramp stamp" or not....I don't think it is since it's not in the center but I don't know....

Everyone show their ink! C'mon you know you want to! Let's see all those tramp stamps and sailor ink and prison jobs! They will always find ways to label us whether someone comes up with a rhyming catchy phrase or not! And the more we get upset over it, the more they revel in their gloating about it!
