They ship by air. I only ship using Continental Airlines, , as they have a pet sitter that stays with the pet at all times.
The normal price for shipping a puppy, buying his kennel, and getting the required vet check runs about $200-$250..The breeder will take care of all that, and require you to cover those costs.
However, if you get your dog from a reputable breeder on this site> http://www.pets4you.com/dogs.html
You will likely be able to find the perfect puppy in your own area. The breeders using this site are carefully screened, and deleted from the site if they have even one unresolved complaint..

The dogs are shipped by air. The price depends on the size of the crate and dog. I just shipped out an adult German Shepherd today. She is a porker right now. She and the crate weighed in at 114 pounds today. The 500 crate alone was 25 pounds. The breeder needs to get a health certificate on the dog no longer than 10 days before the dog is shipped out. The flight today cost me $301.50 to ship this female by NWA.

By plane! I wouldn't buy it from a web site though because for one you don't know how they treat there dogs they could be sick for all you know and a nether reason is the dogs that are being sent get tossed around a lot it could also have problems because of that!

they buy one of them little white fed x boxes and then stuff the dog in them slap a second class sticker on it, stick it on the plain. and fly it to u. as they come over minnesota they open the door and push out the dog, mean while ignoring the fragile handle with care stamp. and the dog parachutes down to you house. if he can of course open the box, pull the cord with his paw, at the precise time. and can steer a parachute.

i used to work for anypets.com and i worked with the new parents and made sure they had everything they needed when they picked up their new puppy! make sure you get a list from the breeder or company that you are buying it from and also all of your paperwork with you at the airport when you pick it up!! hope this helps a little!
