It sounds something like "yak-she-my-esh." What does it mean? I've heard Ukrainian people use it.

In Polish, "jak sie masz" (pronounced "yock she mosh") means how are you....I know in other eastern bloc languages many of the phrases sound alike....

It is actually Polish, and is a greeting meaning hello or thank you. Look on the official borat site, or on wikipedia, it has a bunch of his phrases
