Well, it all depends on what Mary Jane did and where she is from. Did you do any research on Mary Jane and her family. There are many books out now on genealogy that have recorded families history and what scandals were in different families. I would say to do more research. Rootsweb is a good free site to start with. Hope you have Mary Jane's last name. That would be a big help.

As long as you are not harming anyone else by using it, then what gives the government the right to tell someone not to do it. It is stupid law that means nothing.

I do. Alcohol is legal and look at all the problems it causes. People just can't handle themselves. There is no control. So, until people learn to control themselves, there is no reason to make that legal.

It depends. If you need for glaucoma medicine then it's okay. If not, then it's wrong.
