I currently have very long brown hair. I like them but I want something different. I've never dyed my hair and I thought I'd try, I don't know what colors though, any ideas? I'd also like tips on new hairstyles, but I want to keep my hair pretty long.

Try highlights, it will brighten up for hair and face without and drastic changes. I have dark brown hair with carmel colored highlights and I love them. You don't have to get them blonde, just a couple shades lighter than your natural color. Definitley get them professionally done.
Also, you can change the style just by adding layers and maybe try getting pretty waves in your hair....assuming your hair is straight. Good luck!

You could try dying it a colour that's not too outrageous but will still be noticeable. Don't do anything permanent at first, or you may regret it. Get some of that '10 wash' hair dye that will eventually fade away. If you liked it, try a permanent one in a similar shade after. Or, just get some highlights. Pale blonde might work (for your highlights).
As for hairstyles, braids are cute or messy buns. Try high ponytails and hairbands. Put your hair half up, or curl/straighten your hair. Pigtails can look nice on some people, so give them a try too. Go to www.seventeen.com for hairstyle ideas if you'd like.
You could also try getting a new haircut. Layers are very nice and can keep your hair short and long at the same time! On many people bangs also make a big statement! Ask your hairdresser what he/she thinks.

I have long hair and its a darker blonde. I decited for a change and went a little extreem but everyone who sees it loves it even my grouchy mother in law who hates everything I have never done in my life.

no matter what you do just rember its hair and if you dont like the die job go to walmart and get a box of die to fix it.
Just dont go black I dont know anyone thats gone black and been happy in the end, it taks a long tiem time to bleach out, some people end up with darker hair years after, its a mess. Unless you are totaly 100% ready for a big change do anything but black.
red is a safe color it always fades faster then others and even perminit red die will wash out in a few months
Id love to tell you what i think you should do but i have no clue what you look like so that probly wouldnt be the best idea

Ok,u shold try 2 dye ur hair red and black. and the hairstyle shold be like loose curls.

how bout u try a honey chestnut color .As for your hair style just get it cut in Layers it will still be pretty long .

probably a brunnette. u can perm/crimp ur hair or layer it.it'll still be long
