I've heard of one in India which has large phallic statues that they pour milk over and then take out for parades.

The strangest religion I think is this religion called "Jesus Lightening Amen". It was around in the 70's. All the men wore sacloth and shaved their heads except for one long braid down the middle. And that was for ........... you guessed it, so that Jesus had something to grab onto to lift them up at the rapture. I kid you not. They used to come into my husband's mall all the time trying to pass out tracts, and be thrown out by security as quickly as they came in.

before u can saw a religion is weird and/or has weird rituals, u need 2 understand WHY they do what they do. the phallic symbol has been used in countless religions throughout time. it is the symbol of a god & represents fertility in both the land & the ppl. this is very important 2 cultures who rely mostly on the farming season for food. this may still sound weird, but at least now u know the reasoning behind it. the question should always WHY, not WHAT.

i might say that Hoodoo is the strangest prepare, through utilization of animal curios and actual fluids. the 2d strangest is Christianity, through symbolic intake of Jesus' flesh and blood. Satanism pales in assessment, through fact the ritual abuse replaced into debunked in the 1980's.

I can't think of the name of it, but what about that one where the people pretend to be cannibals and eat their god's flesh and drink their god's blood, like a vampire?
