Okay, have you ever had mono before? You may want to go to your doctor and get tested for this. I had it back in high school and again in my mid-20's. Getting it again it's called Epstein Barr Syndrome.

I would get 12 hours of sleep, wake up and feel like I didn't sleep a wink. When I'd be at work, I would go to my car to sleep for lunch. I can completely relate to you. Not only that, but you're a college student and I'm sure you're very busy. The barely eating thing concerns me. You're gaining weight because you're NOT eating. Your metabolism is slowing down. You need to get that up again.

As for your vitamins, when I was diagnosed w/Epstein Barr, I did tons of research of immune boosting vitamins. You should make sure you're taking plenty of Ester C. This is a much more concentrated level of vitamin C. This comes in pill or powder form. Make sure you're taking a multi-vitamin, vitamin E, non-odor garlic and fish oil.

Consider making protein shakes too. If you do this, use water as your base and you can get whey protein anywhere. But amp up the shake with berries, flax seed oil or ground flax seeds.

I'm 34 now and I my body gives me warning signs that I'm over doing it. You need to learn to listen to your body so you don't get full blown sick.

I can say please get a check up by your doctor. These sound like systems of Hypothyroidism. This affects you metabolism. I know this becuase i was diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism. Both are basically the same just with Hyper a person looses weight rapidly.Hypo is the opposite, a person gains weight not much appetite, always tired and sleepy. You can look t up on the net ans see for yourself if you have anymore of the symtoms.Again its called Hypothyroidism. But after you look ito it go have a check up by the doctor...
This is a serious illness so Do Not Take it Lightly!!!!!
I could be wrong but its better to check and be sure.

If the colon is not working properly due to the toxic burden, the result may be that other body systems have to work harder to compensate for this failure. This places added pressure and strain on the body, taxing it, and ultimately resulting in a variety of seemingly unrelated but damaging symptoms. The liver is a detoxification organ relying on a healthy colon and digestive system to aid it in breaking down food particles. When the liver is stressed, the body’s ability to clean the blood can easily become weakened as well. It is vital for maintaining optimum internal health to perform a colon detox procedure at least a few times a year to help the body rid itself of toxic substances and especially harmful pathogens.

If pathogens are allowed to remain within the internal environment, they can promote a number of health diseases, inflammation, food cravings, malnutrition, headaches, constipation, diarrhea, bloating, cramping, weight gain, skin rashes and outbreaks, frequent infections, lowered immunity, and a host of other problems.

To help ensure your body is operating as it should, with full immune system strength, and a clean, poison-free digestive system, you should perform a colon detox on a regular basis. With the world becoming increasingly toxic in every environment due to the presence of synthetic chemicals, it is difficult to avoid these poisons altogether. However, by living a healthy lifestyle and performing a colon detox periodically, many of these health problems can be avoided.

Go see your doc.

You are gaining because it sounds as if your metabolism is slowing down.

No one here can truly help you. Your doctor can.

If you have mono you would be skinnying down but your enlarged liver could make you feel as if you were heavier.

If you are not eating well that could affect your energy level. Vitanims are well and good but they do not fuel you up the way real food does.

Just go see your doctor, hon.

I have two daughters in university and I know how much being ill costs them in terms of extra work.

I am not trying to be rude at all but, is there any chance you might be pregnant?

Pregnancy certainly isn't the only thing that can make you tired. Only a doctor and some blood tests can truly let you know whats going on. You could possible have Mono, hypothyroidism, some auto immune problem, etc. I would check this out is I were you. No one on Yahoo is going to be able to really help you, you need to help yourself.

You barely eat anything. There you go. That's the reason you are always so tired. You're body runs on food, and nutrition. If you have no food, you'll have no engergy, which will not only slow down your metabolism, but will also increase your likelyness for getting sick. You need to eat healthy, and I understand that you're in college, so you may not have that much time on your hands, but you still need to eat, or you'll continue to be tired in class.

there are many reasons why you could be tired all the time: stress, anemia, hormones, depression, etc. I think it is very likely that you are stressed, which would cause you to be sleepy a lot. As a college graduate, I know how you feel. I've know A LOT of other college women that were the same way too.

It could be a lot of things. What amazes me is that you are a college student and instead of seeing a doctor, you are asking a bunch of strangers. What makes us expert?
