I think you mean men are from mars women are from venus, saying that its like we are two different species completely due to the fact that our thought process is so different and we can never understand each other.

I'm going to try to answer this with complete disregard for Scientology, so here goes. Men don't get periods. Nor do they have to buy bras. Granted, the orgasms could be better/longer and getting nutted truly sucks, but we also don't have to undergo the ultimate in pain, embarrassment, humiliation, and possible eventual depression: pregnancy.
Even if we took out the dynamics of chauvinism, race, culture, and what have you, the psychological effects would still be there...once a month, every month once you become "mature," you bleed...A LOT...unless you're pregnant, which really isn't much better, now is it?
Back in the day (prehistoric, that is), a man would impregnate and move on. That's not to say he wouldn't necessarily protect the woman, but think about it...why is it a man's natural desire to want to have multiple "mates?"
Sure, there are women like that too, but ultimately that can be written off as a power trip. Plus, there's the whole "taboo" of being a whore (not really taboo anymore, but it's still something worth thinking about).
It's a metaphor, if anything. Still, it presents one of two possibilities. One, men and women are SO different regardless that they could literally have come from two planets. Two, they DID! And we're having intergalactic sex as we speak!

First it's men are from mars women are form Venus and it's just a way of saying Men don't understand women and women don't understand men. Like they come from 2 different places.
